Retro Rpg, (mostly) 1-bit, and full of (slightly) dark, comedic themes; The Book of Fredley, or "TBoF" is unapologetic in not taking itself too seriously,
while still providing a few serious themes to have fun with.
Fredley is a young boy, who, after losing his best friend 'dogathan' in a tragic accident (caused by you), loses his soul along with the pages of his magical tome.
You now play as a slightly older Fredley, exploring his local town while trying to piece his book back together, which Fredley believes has the power to bring his friend back to life.
Talk to the local kids in town who's souls you can choose to consume or save, which offers rewards for Fredley, while dealing with various enemies across
multiple unique areas of the town. Use firecrackers as distractions, hide in various hiding spots, throw around your baseball, and find keys along with other items to progress on your journey!
Gather the Pages, Mend the Tome, and keep Fredley from being molested at all costs!
Fredley is a young boy, living in a cruel world.

...But lost all of it's magical pages, along with it's power,
when a tragic accident cost him the life of his best friend. He holds an empty book, and a lifeless husk of a friend...
Now Fredley must journey through his dangerous town, deep, dark woods, and filthy, vermin infested sewers...
...To recover his pages,
mend his tome, and bring his best friend back from the grave. All while trying to fill the black hole that his heart has turned into...
